| ASP Hosted |
| Proactive Patient Outreach is a hosted application, which means that our servers, data and communications infrastructure are maintained in a SAS 70 Type II certified secure data center with advanced physical and network security. We manage all the data backups, telecommunications, and interface monitoring so you don’t have to. As a hosted service, practice personnel can access the system securely from any Internet enabled PC, independent of location. Additionally, it’s easy for group practices to provide Phytel services across multiple clinic locations without additional infrastructure. |

| Data Integration |
| With most practices, IT resources are scarce and heavily committed to existing projects. For this reason, we have gone to great lengths to minimize the time demands on Practice IT staff. Phytel has existing interfaces for many of the healthcare technology solutions used by physician group practices. We also support data exchange standards, such as flat files, XML and HL7 to facilitate rapid integration with existing clinical data systems. |
| |
| Data needed to support the Phytel services and protocols are automatically extracted from existing clinical data systems and securely transmitted to the Phytel Data Center. Phytel remotely maintains and manages data interfaces to source systems to ensure that information supporting Proactive Patient Outreach protocols is up-to-date. |

| Protocol Engine |
| The Phytel Protocol Engine is flexible and scalable. In addition to the standard protocols maintained for evidence-based guidelines, custom protocols may be added to meet practice-specific requirements. The Protocol Engine runs daily through millions of records to identify patients that are in need of service, and then correlates notification activity with patient booking response. |
| |
| The registry can be updated to override settings to reflect patients that should be opted out of specific protocols or excluded from outreach services. |
| |
| Communications Engine |
| Proactive Patient Outreach can contact patients by either phone or email. Our telephony servers deliver friendly, natural language recorded messages that are specific to the practice requirements. Outbound calls show the caller ID of the local practice location. For some applications, outbound calls can also collect patient responses in real-time and post data back to the practice information systems, such as confirm, cancel or reschedule status for appointment confirmation calls. |
| |
| Our data center is designed to handle thousands of calls, so we have the capacity to scale to handle all your patient notification needs. Every contact event is logged, and every status tracked so you have complete history of automated communication events with your patients for both operational support and clinical needs. |
| |
| Reporting |
| Phytel provides regular monthly and quarterly reports to assess both the clinical and financial effectiveness of Proactive Patient Outreach services. Summary reporting tracks compliance by disease state or procedure, as well as patient-level detail reporting to correlate notification events to booking activity. Statistical reporting is available to evaluate message volume by type, by user, by patient, by recipient, by status and by day/time of receipt. |
